A key to the success of Michelin retreads is our inspection process. We scrutinize your tire to make sure the casings are as sound as the treads. Inspection begins with a thorough examination under Grazing Light, then an NDT® -11TM scan for Liner Penetrations. Next comes a full X-Ray Inspection. Finally, sound and repairable casings are sent to the Casing Integrity Analyzer (CIATM) -- a Michelin exclusive. The CIA detects Casing Separations that might otherwise cause tire failure thousands of miles down the road.
